Over the course of two days, ChriMar Systems Inc. d/b/a CMS Technologies filed more than 30 infringement suits against a range of companies, including Accton Technology, ADTRAN, Alcatel-Lucent, Alpha Networks, ASUSTek, Black Box, Buffalo Technology, Dell, Huawei, Juniper Networks, NETGEAR, Ruckus, StarTech.com, TRENDWare, and WatchGuard. The cases all involve at least two out of a group of four related, homegrown network equipment patents (8,155,012; 8,902,760; 8,942,107; 9,019,838) and target power over Ethernet (PoE) devices and power sourcing equipment. The accused products include wireless access points, VoIP and IP phones, and switches.
