Preservation Technologies [NPE] filed suit against Walmart alleging that Walmart’s video-on-demand service (Vudu) infringes five patents related to the cataloging and retrieval of videos. In April 2012, RPX acquired sublicense rights to the Preservation Technology patents for clients and limited sublicense rights for a few additional companies until March 30, 2013. 9/14, Central District of California, assigned to Judge James V.
