A jury found Apple did not induce a group of media companies to infringe Emblaze Limited’s streaming media patent (6,389,473). Emblaze sued Apple in March 2011, accusing the company’s iPhone, iPad, and other devices of using HTTP live-streaming technology that allegedly infringed the ‘473 patent. The NPE also accused Apple of inducing a group of media companies to infringe the patent through use of Apple’s software to stream real-time content to end users.
