Sentegra, LLC v. ASUS Computer International

Colorado-based Sentegra, LLC has switched venues in its mobile devices litigation campaign, adding a second case against ASUS (1:16-cv-00132) and a new case against BLU Products (1:16-cv-00158) in its home state. Prior suits in the campaign, including those against BlackBerry, Lenovo, LG Electronics (LGE), and Samsung, as well as the first case against ASUS, were all filed in the Southern District of New York. Sentegra’s new complaints both assert a patent that was originally issued to LGE (7,920,904). The ‘904 patent generally relates to a certain microphone setup on a mobile device. The NPE’s complaint against BLU Products also asserts a second patent (8,706,627), which was issued to Jon Shore, Sentegra’s founder and CEO. The ‘627 patent generally relates to mobile devices capable of making secure transactions.
