Graphics Properties Holdings (GPH) filed nine separate suits against Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Dell, Google, HP, Huawei, Lenovo, Pantech, and ZTE, alleging that the defendants’ mobile phones, tablets, set-top boxes, and computer monitors infringe one or four patents (depending on the defendant) related to graphics display technology. The patents-in-suit originated from bankrupt entity, Silicon Graphics.
