Mobile Transformation filed suit against Storm8, alleging that Storm8’s social video game applications infringe a patent related to displaying data of one type (such as video) while simultaneously playing advertising data of a second type (such as audio). Mobile Transformation has filed over 20 suits since November 2011. According to the complaint, Mobile Transformation is the exclusive licensee of the patent-in-suit, which originated with Adware LI and was assigned to Penobscot Prospect in November 2009.
