Pragmatus Mobile, a subsidiary of Pragmatus, began its first litigation campaign with nine lawsuits against ASUS, Casio, Dell, HP, Kyocera, Lenovo, Nokia, Samsung, and ZTE. The complaints assert two patents related to a portable signaling unit for security and tracking (8,149,124; 8,466,795). Defendants’ smartphones and tablets are accused of infringing the patents through the use of tracking software. The patents-in-suit were acquired from Hoffman Resources in 2011. Other Pragmatus entities are involved in ongoing litigation and the entity has filed more than 100 cases over the last three years. 10/10, District of Delaware, 1:13cv01681, 1:13cv01682, 1:13cv01683, 1:13cv01684, 1:13cv01685, 10/15, District of Delaware, 1:13cv01696, 1:13cv01697, 1:13cv01698, 1:13cv01699
