Memory Integrity LLC v. Blackberry Limited et al

Seventeen cases were filed this week by Memory Integrity (MI), the entity’s first. Defendants in the actions include ASUS, Amazon, Apple, Blackberry, Fujistu, Google, HTC, Huawei, Intel, LG, Lenovo, Motorola, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, and ZTE. Most cases assert a single patent related to a computer system with a plurality of interconnected processing nodes (7296121). The case against Intel also asserts three additional patents that relate to various aspects of computer system processing (7103636; 7107409; 8572206). In all cases, MI alleges defendants’ products that include a multiprocessor core infringe the patents. MI owns the patents-in-suit and acquired them from Sanmina in June 2013. The technology was developed by Newisys which merged with Sanmina in 2008.
