Micro Design LLC filed a dozen new suits at the end of August, after closing its remaining open cases earlier in the month. The new filings assert the same patent from the prior cases (7,437,535) against defendants Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Google, HP, HTC, LGE, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, and Sony. The patent-in-suit concerns communication between a microprocessor and a memory co-processor. Microprocessors made by the defendants or incorporated into their devices are accused of infringement.
