Spring Ventures Ltd. v. Google LLC DC

Buy2 Networks Ltd., an inventor-controlled, publicly traded NPE based in Israel, has asserted a single patent (8,661,094) against Alphabet (Google), alleging infringement through the company’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” search feature (1:16-cv-00470). The asserted patent generally relates to mapping a non-URL text string to the most likely web page address and causing a browser to navigate to that page. This lawsuit is the NPE’s first to date.
