ArrivalStar and Melvino Technologies filed 13 separate suits against AFC Worldwide Express, Avante International Technology, Echo Global Logistics, Genesco, Insite Software Solutions, Michigan Sporting Goods Distributors, Newgistics, Norco Delivery Service, Overstock, R&L Carriers, Sierra Data Systems, Stride Rite Children’s Group, and Wilson Trucking Corporation, alleging that the defendants’ tracking and notification systems infringe three or six patents (depending on the defendant) related to GPS notification and vehicle monitoring. Since 2006, ArrivalStar has filed more than 100 patent suits against over 200 defendants.
