High Quality Printing Inventions, LLC v. Worldwide Tickets And Labels, Inc.

Newly-formed NPE High Quality Printing Inventions LLC (HQPI) has filed 32 lawsuits in just one week, asserting a single patent (6,012,070) related to a method of producing customized business forms or brochures. The accused products are all on-demand design and printing websites, and the defendants range from smaller, regional printing businesses to nationwide players like Vistaprint (Cimpress) (1:15-cv-13962), Office Depot (9:15-cv-81608), and Shutterfly (3:15-cv-05437). This litigation campaign is HQPI’s first and only to date, and it has filed suits all across the country—in 19 different district courts and in 18 states. All cases are in early stages, and no motions have been filed.
