Long Corner Consumer Electronics filed 14 new suits agains tablet and mobile device makers including Aluratek, Archos, Best Buy, DPI, HP, Mach Speed, Samsung, Shaghal (eMatic), Sony, Techno Source, Toshiba, Visual Land, Yifang, and ZTE. Each case asserts a single patent related to moving graphical objects displayed on the screen of a device in response to movement of that device (7,808,483). The accused products are devices with touchscreens and orientation sensors. Long Corner Consumer Electronics acquired the patent from the inventor in July 2013 and began filing litigation in November of that year. Since then, the entity has filed 30 suits asserting the ‘483 patent. The majority of cases appear to be open.
