Growing Technology, LLC v. Broadcom Corporation DC

Broadcom’s chipsets are accused of infringing a patent asserted by Growing Technology, an NPE that has not previously filed assertion litigation. The patent-in-suit relates to encoding video data and was developed by Academic Sinica (7,242,812). According to the complaint Growing Technology is the current owner of the asserted patent but the date of assignment has not been recorded with the USPTO.
