Ruby Sands LLC has added new lawsuits to its troubled mobile banking campaign, while Packet Tread LLC and Cypaleo LLC have continued to expand their respective communications campaigns. These latest cases follow a surge of filings by other IP Edge affiliates in the final months of 2016.

Genaville LLC was incorporated in Texas on March 23, 2015, and just over two months later, it has filed its first round of litigation, involving 25 suits. The defendants are companies with a significant amount of online retail, including Crate & Barrel, Etsy, Harry & David, L.L. Bean, Major League Baseball, Nordstrom, and REI. Genaville’s suits assert a single patent that relates to searching electronic documents in response to a search query (5,999,927). The complaints accuse defendants’ websites of infringing the asserted patent.
