Power Regeneration, LLC has filed a second suit (6:15-cv-00964) asserting a single patent (7,085,123) generally related to the use of reciprocal switching between a voltage source and a capacitor with non-polar electrodes within a power supply system. The new complaint asserts the ‘123 patent against the i-Eloop regenerative braking system in Mazda’s consumer vehicles. Power Regeneration accused regenerative braking systems supplied by Siemens for rail vehicles and mass transit systems in a complaint filed in April of this year. That suit (6:15-cv-00380) was dismissed without prejudice on August 21, 2015.
