WSOU Investments, LLC has followed the same pattern with its April litigation against Microsoft (6:20-cv-00331, 6:20-cv-00332, 6:20-cv-00333, 6:20-cv-00334, 6:20-cv-00335, 6:20-cv-00337, 6:20-cv-00340, 6:20-cv-00341, 6:20-cv-00342, 6:20-cv-00344, 6:20-cv-00345, 6:20-cv-00346) as it established with its March litigation against Huawei and ZTE: multiple separate Western District of Texas complaints, each asserting a patent received from Nokia (or its subsidiary Alcatel-Lucent). The 12 new cases target various devices and platforms provided by Microsoft, with each of the asserted patents new to litigation. WSOU’s cases against its third target appear on the heels of a newly recorded assignment to the plaintiff of additional patents from Nokia.
