TP-Link (6:20-cv-01012; 6:20-cv-01013; 6:20-cv-01014; 6:20-cv-01015; 6:20-cv-01016; 6:20-cv-01017; 6:20-cv-01018; 6:20-cv-01019; 6:20-cv-01020; 6:20-cv-01021; 6:20-cv-01022) is the latest defendant to see a barrage of 2020 cases filed by WSOU Investments, LLC (d/b/a Brazos Licensing and Development), each in the Western District of Texas and each over a single patent received from Nokia (including Alcatel-Lucent). Prior defendants include Alphabet (Google), BBK Electronics (OnePlus Technology (Shenzhen)), Canon, Dell, HP Enterprise (HPE), F5 Networks, Huawei, Juniper Networks, Microsoft, NEC, Xilinx, and ZTE. This past week, WSOU also filed a single suit against F5 Networks (3:20-cv-00856) in the Eastern District of Virginia, where it previously hit F5 with four cases. Together, the twelve new suits—in addition to the total of 119 WSOU cases filed this year—target a variety of networking products.
