Emergent Mobile LLC, a recently formed Texas NPE, just sued LG Electronics (LGE) (6:21-cv-00629) over three wireless communication patents acquired from Sisvel Technology S.r.l. last month. The accused products are “4G and 5G phones and smartphones” for all three patents and such devices that support the Google Live View feature, with its ARCore “localization technique”. Texas public records indicate that the NPE assignee is managed by an executive at a real estate investment firm based in Dallas and has ties to a prominent plaintiff-side law firm in the state.
