Network Apparel Group, LP, a Texas entity incorporated in 2004, filed its first suits this week, targeting AirwaveNetworks, Apogee, Elauwit, Kadimet, Pavlov, and Time Warner Cable. The suits all assert a single patent, which concerns managing messaging over a network (7,631,079). One of the named inventors of the patent-in-suit is David Daugherty, the president of Network Apparel. The complaints accuse defendants of infringing the patent without naming specific products.
