August 5, 2011-  HTC announced the acquisition of mobile applications provider, Dashwire.  Dashwire made headlines in April when the company entered a license agreement with Intellectual Ventures and acquired two patents from Intellectual Ventures to use in a counter suit against a competitor, Synochross.  The two patents acquired by Dashwire originated at Bell Communications.  Dashwire‘s product offerings enable mobile content access through the cloud.  HTC entered a license agreement with Intellectual Ventures in November 2010.
