Two patents originally assigned to Bell Communications were assigned by an Intellectual Ventures holding entity to a mobile application provider, Dashwire. The sale of the patents was announced one day before Dashwire filed suit against mobile app competitor, Synochross. Synochross filed a patent suit against Dashwire back three months earlier.
