Taiwanese University Sues Maxim Integrated

National Cheng Kung University filed suit against Maxim Integrated alleging that the defendant’s video compression products that support the ITU-T H.264 standard infringe a patent related to block-oriented motion compensation (7,561,078). This is the first US patent infringement suit filed by National Cheng Kung University. 3/7, Eastern District of Texas, 2:13cv00201.
