VoiceFill Sues Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Texas

February 2, 2013

VoiceFill filed suit against Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Texas alleging that the defendant’s iExchange interactive voice response (IVR) speech recognition system infringes a patent related to speech recognition software (7,738,740).  This is the second patent infringement suit initiated by VoiceFill. The Pasadena-based company first asserted the ’740 patent against IVR provider West Interactive in December 2011.  Kenneth Barash is the named inventor on the patent-in-suit, which originated with Voice Tech Systems before being assigned to VoiceFill in April 2011. 1/31, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2013cv00072.
