Lodsys filed six separate lawsuits against 4imprint, BullionVault, Loews Hotels, OpticsPlanet, PromoManagers, Retail Concepts, Steris Corporation, SuperValu, and Volkswagen, alleging that the defendants’ websites which utilize live interactive chat and feedback technology infringe two patents related to web-based transactions and a customer-based product design module (7,620,565 and 7,222,078).  After a pause in enforcement activity since May 2012, Lodsys launched a number of suits against a variety of website developers and operators in December 2012.
