Mobile Transformation Targets Another Small Gaming Company
- February 28, 2013
Mobile Transformation filed suit against FreshPlanet alleging that the defendant’s video game applications infringe a patent related to a system that inserts static ads into online videos (6,351,736). Mobile Transformation filed suit last month against Prometheus Global Media, and has filed over 25 prior suits since November 2011 against several other companies, including BabyCenter, Pocket Gems, Blip Networks, IGN, Media Holdings, TNA Entertainment, and Buzzfeed. Several of these suits have been dismissed. According to the complaint, Mobile Transformation is the exclusive licensee of the patent-in-suit, which originated with Adware LI and was assigned to Penobscot Prospect in November 2009. RPX reviewed the patent-in-suit as an open market opportunity (EverAd) in February 2009. 2/25, District of Delaware, 1:13cv00311.
