Quxuz LLC, a Texas-based non-practicing entity, filed three separate suits against SearchFit, Sum Effect Software, and Volusion alleging that the defendants’ websites and e-commerce solutions infringe a patent related to website registration and GUIs via registered access (7,353,199).  Since Aug. 2012, Quxuz has filed eight prior suits against other defendants, including Automattic, BigCommerce, Element Fusion, IconoSites, Soholaunch.com, WebStarts, Wix.com, and Yola.  The patent-in-suit was issued to The Perfect Web Corporation and was assigned to Quxuz by Patent Trust in July 2012.  RPX reviewed the patent-in-suit as part of an open market opportunity (Perfect Web) in October 2010.  2/20, Eastern District of Texas, 2:13cv00145; 2/21, Eastern District of Texas, 2:13cv00172; 2/22, Eastern District of Texas, 2:13cv00175.
