IPNav’s Clear with Computers Targets Manufacturers’ Websites

IP Nav’s Clear with Computers (CWC) filed 21 separate suits against a host of industrial products manufacturers, including Alamo Group, Alcoa, Ag Growth International dba Batco Manufacturing, CLAAS of America, Coleman Company, Empire Southwest, Gehl, Kennametal, Lufkin Industries, Linde Material Handling, Mahindra, Palfinger, Fishing Holdings dba Ranger BoatsRaymondSalfordTextronUniversal Forest ProductsVermeerManitowoc Cranes, Valmont Industries, and Yanmar America alleging that the defendants’ websites infringe two patents related to software for customized product selection (7,606,739 and 5,625,776). Since 2004, CWC (formerly Orion IP),  has filed over 70 suits against more than 250 defendants spanning various segments. CWC last filed suit in Dec. of 2012 asserting a different patent against several web-based retailers, including American Eagle OutfittersForty Niners Football CompanyHelly HansonLevi Strauss & CompanyMLB Advanced MediaNFL Enterprises, and Spanx.
