Empire IP’s Rotatable Technologies Sues Four More iOS App Providers

Rotatable Technologies filed four separate suits against Citgo PetroleumFossilLennox Industries, and Variable Annuity Life Insurance alleging that the defendants’ mobile applications for the Apple iOS infringe a patent related to selectively rotating windows on a computer display (6,326,978). Since May 2012, Rotatable Technologies has filed four prior suits against 30 defendants who either sell smartphones and tablets or have iOS mobile applications, including HTC, Apple, Nokia, and Acer. The patent-in-suit was assigned to Empire IP by the inventor in January 2012 before being assigned to Rotatable Technologies in April 2012. 2/9, Eastern District of Texas, 2:13cv00108; 2:13cv00109; 2:13cv00110; 2:13cv00111.
