CompuFill Sues Three More Food Chains over Online Rx Refills

CompuFill filed three separate suits against grocery retailers Delhaize America, Harris Teeter, and Ingles Markets alleging that the defendants’ automated systems for requesting prescription refills infringe a patent related to online prescription refills (6,728,684).  Last week, the NPE plaintiff asserted the ‘684 patent against HEB Grocery over similar technology. Since May 2011, Compufill has filed a total of five suits, including its first suit against Walgreen (with Costco, CVS, Wal-Mart, and Target) in May 2011.
