Compufill Sues HEB Grocery over Online Prescription Refills

Compufill filed suit against HEB Grocery alleging that the defendants’ automated system for requesting prescription refills infringes a patent related to online prescription refills (6,728,684).  Compufill last filed suit in May of 2011 against Walgreen, Costco, CVS and Target.  The patent-in-suit was assigned to Compufill by inventor Richard Reichart in January 2011. Hazim Ansari, founder of NPE NovelIP (formerly known as Patent Metrix), is listed as the correspondent on the assignment.  According to the company’s website, NovelIP participated in the founding of Network Signatures, a non-practicing entity that has initiated more than 85 suits against companies in a variety of industries.  2/8, Eastern District of Texas, assigned to Rodney Gilstrap, 1:2013cv00106.
