August 2, 2011- IDC released a report of Q2 worldwide microprocessor market share by form factor. Intel held a 84.4% share in the mobile PC processor segment, AMD 15.2%, and VIA 0.4%. In the PC server/workstation processor segment, Intel had 94.5% market share and AMD 5.5%. In the desktop PC processor segment, Intel had 70.9% market share and AMD 28.9%.
