February 10, 2013

CeeColor Industries filed suit against NetIQ alleging that the defendant’s SecureLogin product infringes two patents related to a proximity sensing system that senses activity in the vicinity of a computerized device (6,002,427 and 6,570,610). Last week, CeeColor Industries filed suit against Viper Holdings alleging that the defendant’s vehicle alarm system that secures electronic devices infringes the ’610 patent. Since March 2012, CeeColor has filed prior suits against 17 defendants over eight consecutive months. Alan J. Kipust, the named inventor, assigned the patents-in-suit to Sitka Spruce Security in September 2010.
