Swipe Innovations filed two separate suits against Moneris Solutions and PayPal alleging that the defendants’ payment terminal products infringe a patent related to encrypting PIN pads (5,351,296).  Since March 2012, Swipe has filed 25 suits against providers of secure payment terminals, including Capital One Merchant Services, Chase Paymentech Solutions, Fujitsu, Motorola, and Intuit.
