Google Acquires over 200 Patents from Silverbrook Research

The USPTO recorded the assignment of 266 patents and 52 published applications from Silverbrook Research to Google on Jan. 21, 22, and 23, 2013. The patents relate to a variety of print processing and digital camera technologies. Just two weeks prior, Google was one of several major tech companies to receive patents and licensing rights to Kodak’s digital imaging patents. Silverbrook Research is an Australian research and engineering service provider with over 4,500 issued US Patents. RPX reviewed 255 of the assigned US patents as an open market opportunity (Gryphus – Acq) in December 2011.
