February 2, 2013

eTAGZ filed two separate suits against Indian Industries and Magnesium Media alleging that Indian Industries’ table tennis paddle and Magnesium Media’s magazines infringe five of eTAGZ’s patents related to attaching advertising or digital media — such as CDs, DVDs, and flash drives — to merchandise (6,298,332, 7,503,502, 7,703,686, 8,050,964, and 8,249,919). eTAGZ has filed almost 30 suits since December 2009 asserting some of the patents-in-suit against defendants such as Marvel Entertainment, Proctor & Gamble, Quicksilver, Tumi, and various publishing companies. The patents-in-suit were invented by David R. Montague, the founder and CEO of eTAGZ. 1/23, District of Utah, Magistrate Judge Paul M. Warner, 2:13cv00058; 2:13cv00059.
