Blue Spike Files Six More Suits over Biometric Software Solutions

Blue Spike filed six separate suits against Hitachi, Iris IS Systems, Kronos, M2YS, MorphoTrak, and Tygart Technology alleging the defendants’ finger-print based biometric software solutions infringe four patents related to monitoring and analyzing signals (7,346,472; 8,214,175; 7,660,700; and 7,949,494). Blue Spike has filed over 70 suits since August 2012 against many defendants, including Adobe, Facebook, Fujitsu, Google, and Yahoo. Blue Spike reached settlement agreements with biometric solutions providers BIO-Key International and Cross Match Technologies. The patents-in-suit were invented by Blue Spike’s founder Scott Moskowitz and were originally assigned to Blue Spike in November 2011. 1/22, Eastern District of Texas, Judge Michael H.
