Cruise Control Technologies Sues Five Major Automotive Companies

Cruise Control Technologies filed five separate suits against American Honda Motor Co., Hyundai Motor America, Nissan North America, Toyota Motor North America, and Volkswagen Group of America alleging that the defendants’ vehicular cruise control products infringe a patent related to a cruise control indicator. Cruise Control Technologies has filed 10 prior suits against Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Subaru, and Volvo. The patent-in-suit was invented by Kumar Patel, and was assigned to Empire IP in September 2012. Cruise Control Technologies received the patent from Empire IP in December 2012.
