Trans Video Electronics Sues Amazon over Digital Video Distribution Patents

Trans Video Electronics (TVE) filed suit against Amazon alleging that its on-demand video service infringes two patents related to digital video distribution (5,594,936 and 5,991,801).  TVE has filed over 10 prior suits since August 2006 against other digital content distributors, including Apple, DirecTV, Echostar, Google, Netflix, Nintendo, Sirius, Sony, Time Warner Cable, Verizon Wireless, Vudu, and XM Satellite.  Mohammed Rebec and Mohailo Rebec are the named inventors on the patents-in-suit, which they assigned to TVE in May 2012.  1/8, District of Delaware, 1:2013cv00061.
