New Acacia Sub Sues Citrix over Video Conferencing Patents

Web Collaboration Technologies, a subsidiary of Acacia Research, filed suit against visualization software maker Citrix alleging that Citrix’s GoToMeeting web conference software infringes two patents related to a system which uses multiple computers to hold a conference (5,649,104, 5,819,038). This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by Web Collaboration Technologies. The patents-in-suit originated with NCR Corporation and were assigned to Acacia by Cisco in July 2012. 1/4, District of Delaware, 1:2013cv00053.
