Cruise Control Technologies filed 10 separate suits against Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Subaru, and Volvo alleging that the defendants’ vehicular cruise control products infringe a patent related to a cruise control indicator. These are the first patent infringement suits initiated by Cruise Control Technologies. The patent-in-suit was invented by Kumar Patel, and was assigned to Empire IP in September 2012. Cruise Control Technologies received the patent from Empire IP in December 2012.
