Trans Video Electronics Sues Four More Digital Content Distributors

Trans Video Electronics (TVE) filed four separate suits against Vudu, Netflix, Verizon Wireless, and Time Warner Cable alleging that the defendants’ video distribution services infringe two patents related to downloading, streaming, and/or storing digital video information.  TVE has filed eight prior suits since August 2006 against other digital content distributors, including Apple, Nintendo, Google, Sony, XM Satellite, SiriusDirecTV, and Echostar.  Mohammed and Mohailo Rebec are the named inventors on the patents-in-suit, which they first assigned to TVE in August 1993.  12/20, District of 1:2012cv01740; 1:2012cv01741; 1:2012cv01742; 1:2012cv01743.
