Ingeniador filed nine separate suits against Adobe, AGFA Gevaert and its subsidiaries AGFA and AGFA Healthcare, BMC Software, CenturyLink and its subsidiary Savvis, GE Healthcare, McKesson, Nuance Communications, Quest Diagnostics and its subsidiary MedPlus, and Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation and its subsidiary Vital Images, alleging that the defendants’ content management tools and electronic publishing systems infringe a patent related to a web-based editing and publishing system. According to the complaints, AGFA Gevaert, CenturyLink, Quest Diagnostics, Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation and their subsidiaries are properly joined because they make, use, import into the U.S., offer for sale, and sell the same accused products.
