AIP Acquisition filed five separate suits against Cablevision, Charter Communications, Comcast, Cox, and Time Warner alleging that defendants’ voice calling services infringe four patents related to integrating voice and data network technologies. AIP Acquisition, which is controlled by former shareholders of Arbinet, filed three prior suits in May 2012 against Equinix, iBasis, and Level 3 Communications.
