Wolf Run Hollow Sues State Farm Credit Union and State Farm Bank FSB

Wolf Run Hollow filed two separate suits against State Farm Credit Union and State Farm Bank FSB, alleging that the defendants’ interactions with its customers and website users through their online portals infringe a patent related to secure message delivery.  Wolf Run Hollow has filed 20 prior suits against over 85 financial institutions, and has been subject to three actions for declaratory judgment since October 2009.  According to the complaint, Wolf Run Hollow is the exclusive licensee on the patent-in-suit, which was assigned to Rapa Nui Marble in August 2009 by inventor David Whitmire.  RPX reviewed the patent-in-suit as part of an open market opportunity (Whitmire) in October 2008.  11/27, Northern District of Illinois, assigned to District Judge Ronald A.
