EMG Technology filed suit against Motorola Mobility alleging that Motorola’s smartphones and tablets infringe a patent related to reformatting HTML content for display on a mobile device. The patent-in-suit (7,441,196) is one of two patents that EMG has asserted in 18 suits filed between November 2008 and October 2012 against three dozen defendants. The majority of defendants have been operators of e-commerce sued over mobile websites.
