NovelPoint Tracking Sues Ford with Patent Acquired on the Open Market

NovelPoint Tracking filed suit against Ford Motor Company alleging that the Ford’s SYNC system that provides integrated in-vehicle communication and entertainment services infringes two patents related to GPS vehicle tracking, collision notification, and voice communication.  NovelPoint Tracking filed one prior suit in April 2012.   RPX reviewed all three NovelPoint Tracking patents as part of an open market opportunity (Evans GPS) in July 2010.  10/31, Eastern District of Texas, assigned to Judge Leonard Davis, 6:2012cv00832.
