SoftVault Systems, Inc. filed three separate suits against IBM (5:12-cv-05546), Novell (4:12-cv-05541), and RIM (3:12-cv-05544), alleging that the defendants’ mobile software and endpoint management products infringe two patents related to the use of embedded agents to enable or disable a device. SoftVault has filed six prior suits since January 2006 against more than 15 defendants – most recently SAP (Sybase) and Symantec. 10/29, Northern District of California.
