New NPE Targets Apple’s Siri Application with Patent Exclusively Licensed from Rensselaer Polytechnic

Dynamic Advances filed suit against Apple alleging that the Siri voice application infringes a patent related to a natural language query processing.  This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by Dynamic Advances.  The patent-in-suit is currently assigned to  Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is exclusively licensed by Dynamic Advances.  The address for Dynamic Advances (719 W. Front Street, Suite 242 Tyler, TX) has been associated with past IPNav enforcement entities suggesting that IPNav may have some connection to the case. 10/19, Northern District of New York, assigned to Chief Judge Gary L. Sharpe and referred to Magistrate Judge Christian F. Hummel, 1:2012cv01579.
