Evolutionary Intelligence filed nine separate suits against Apple, Facebook, Foursquare, Groupon, LivingSocial, Millennial Media, Sprint Nextel, Twitter, and Yelp, alleging that the defendants’ mobile applications and websites that include location-based services infringe two patents related to data analysis within a computer network.  These are the first patent infringement suits initiated by Evolutionary Intelligence.  The patents-in-suit were assigned to Evolutionary Intelligence along with a third patent by Incandescent in July 2012.  10/17, Eastern District of Texas, no judge yet assigned, 6:2012cv00783; 6:2012cv00784; 6:2012cv00785; 6:2012cv00787; 6:2012cv00789; 6:2012cv00790; 6:2012cv00791; 6:2012cv00792; 6:2012cv00794.
